Isabelle Graesslé


 

Isabelle Graesslé holds a doctorate in theology (habilitation) and a master's degree in classical literature. After studying in France, Switzerland, and the United States, she became head of adult education in the Geneva Protestant Church, while continuing her research and teaching at several Swiss universities.

In 2001, she was elected as the first female moderator of the Company of Pastors and Deacons after the first moderator, Jean Calvin. From 2004 to 2016, she directed the International Museum of the Reformation in Geneva. From 2018 to 2024, she served as a pastor near Lausanne.

She has published around 100 articles and several books on theological questions and biblical interpretation.

Since 2024, now retired from her pastoral duties, Isabelle Graesslé has been working on new books, attempting to decipher the world today. She is also an advisor and a spiritual explorer.

Regarding OBF, she hopes to contribute her expertise in small business management, fundraising, and communication. Her experience in international ecumenical circles will also be helpful in collaborating with the founders of OBF.
